The Naftogaz Group and ORLEN have signed two agreements on expanding LNG supplies to Ukraine and exchanging expertise in the areas of sustainable development, decarbonization, and ESG.

It was reported by Naftogaz’s press service.

The statement notes that the first agreement provides for an analysis of opportunities to increase gas supply volumes and the joint use of regasification terminals and gas transmission infrastructure in the Baltic region, Central, and Eastern Europe.

Such cooperation will help expand gas supply routes to Ukraine, increase their flexibility, and ensure broader access to the global LNG market.

The second agreement covers reducing emissions, particularly methane, improving energy efficiency, attracting green financing, and preparing reports in accordance with European standards.

The agreements were signed during the Ukraine Recovery Conference and continue the cooperation between the Naftogaz Group and Orlen in diversifying gas supplies and modernizing the Ukrainian energy sector.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Polish Orlen Group aims to strengthen its presence in the Ukrainian market and is already in talks regarding a potential stake in Ukrnafta.
