Yaroslava Mahuchikh won gold at a competition in the Croatian capital, clearing 1.97 m at the Boris Hanžeković Memorial Tournament as part of the Continental Tour.

Another Ukrainian athlete, Iryna Herashchenko, also competed in the tournament. She began her attempt at heights of 1.75 m and 1.85 m but was unable to clear the 1.90 m bar.
Mahuchikh started at 1.90 m, which she cleared on her first attempt. She skipped the 1.93-meter height. This height was cleared by Eleanor Patterson, Angelina Topić, Marija Vuković, and Fatoumata Balley, who set a new national record.
After that, the Ukrainian cleared 1.95 m, and on her third attempt, 1.97 m. Her attempts at 2.01 m were unsuccessful.
Among her competitors, Topić posted the highest result, but she failed to clear 1.99 m, which secured Mahuchikh’s lead in the final standings.
After her performance, the athlete noted that she was satisfied with her 1.97 m result and is looking forward to new competitions in Zagreb next season.
As a reminder, Ukrainian high jumper Yaroslava Mahuchikh won the Diamond League meet in Rabat. She was the only competitor to clear the bar at 1.97 m.
