The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, announced the installation of anti-drone nets on the outskirts of Kharkiv to strengthen the city's defense.
He announced this on his Facebook page, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Syniehubov spoke on the air of the United News about the security situation in the Kharkiv Region.
According to him, the russian occupiers are trying to press and advance deep into the region, but are not succeeding in this.
At the same time, the enemy continues to shell the Kharkiv Region, in particular the city of Kharkiv.
Thus, the day before, a civilian enterprise in the Kharkiv district was hit by a missile strike, and the other day the occupiers dropped six guided bombs on a critically important energy facility.
"We are working around the clock to strengthen defense. In particular, we are installing anti-drone nets on the outskirts of Kharkiv. If necessary, we will consider expanding such measures to other parts of the city. We are involving electronic warfare systems together with the Ministry of Defense and international partners. We already have concrete results," Syniehubov emphasized.
According to him, thanks to these measures, only a part of the weapons of mass destruction reach Kharkiv compared to the number that can be suppressed or destroyed by electronic warfare.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in 2025, the State Special Transport Service installed 534 km of anti-drone nets along roads in 7 regions of Ukraine.
