The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned Ivan Novytskyi, the chargé d'affaires for Ukraine, to present him with a note of protest over the russian provocation involving the shelling of a bus carrying Belarusian children in the Bryansk Oblast of the russian federation. The ministry reported this to the publication Sb.by on Thursday, June 18.
The Belarusian Foreign Ministry stated that it regards the shelling of the bus carrying children as an act of terrorism.
“The Belarusian side demands that the Ukrainian side provide comprehensive explanations regarding what happened, conduct an immediate and objective investigation, and provide information on bringing all those responsible to the strictest accountability,” the ministry noted.
In addition, Belarus intends to involve international organizations such as the UN in highlighting the shelling of the bus carrying children.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on June 18, the Security Service of Ukraine announced that it had intercepted a russian document which, according to the agency, refutes moscow’s version of events regarding the involvement of Ukrainian drones in the strike on a bus carrying Belarusian citizens in the Bryansk Oblast of the russian federation.
