As a result of the massive russian attack on Kyiv on the night of June 15, some residents of the capital were left without electricity - the cause was damage to power lines.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced this on his Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
According to him, the northern part of the city was the most affected.
"In the northern part of the capital, 140,000 consumers are without electricity. As a result of the enemy attack, power lines were damaged," Klitschko noted.
Russian troops began their attack on the capital on the evening of June 14, using strike drones; at night, the occupiers launched several strikes on Kyiv with ballistic missiles.
Emergency services are working on the ground. Information about the consequences of the attack and the timing of the restoration of power supply is being clarified.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of Monday, June 15, russian troops launched 70 missiles and 611 UAVs of various types over the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to neutralize 632 targets - 50 missiles and 582 drones.
20 ballistic missiles and 27 strike UAVs were recorded hitting 42 locations, as well as the fall of downed (fragments) UAVs at 12 locations.
