Former MP of the Verkhovna Rada Andrii Levus (People's Front faction) took the oath and assumed the duties of MP from the European Solidarity party in place of the deceased Stepan Kubiv.
The new MP was sworn in during a session of the Verkhovna Rada on Friday, June 12, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Levus is included in the electoral list of the European Solidarity party under No. 29.
46-year-old Levus was an MP of the 8th convocation from the People's Front party (No. 23 on the list) in 2014-2019.
In 2021, the High Anti-Corruption Court acquitted former MP Levus, who was accused of illegally receiving compensation for renting housing.
In 2014, Levus was the Deputy Head of the SSU, Head of the Commandant's Office of the Maidan Self-Defense (2013-2014).
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 18, it became known about the death of 63-year-old MP Stepan Kubiv.
The Central Election Commission recognized Denys Pyatyhorets as an elected member of the Verkhovna Rada from the European Solidarity party instead of the deceased Kubiv.
Zaporizhzhia blogger and volunteer, former deputy head of the Volyn Regional State Administration Denys Pyatyhorets (No. 28 on the electoral list), announced that he was resigning from the post.
