Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko has promised to submit a military reform bill to the Verkhovna Rada for approval in July; the bill includes provisions for increasing pay and proposals regarding terms of service. Members of the Verkhovna Rada reported this on Telegram, according to the Ukrainian News agency.

In particular, Iryna Herashchenko, co-chair of the European Solidarity faction, reported that Svyrydenko mentioned this timeline during a coordination meeting attended by faction leaders.

"The Prime Minister promised that the government will submit a military reform bill to the Verkhovna Rada in July, which will include proposals regarding terms of service and an increase in pay," she said.

Oleksii Honcharenko, a member of the Verkhovna Rada from the European Solidarity faction, also confirmed this information.

"I know that you are all waiting for an increase in pay and the extension of service terms. I know that Minister Fedorov promised to present the concept in April, then in May, then in June. And I know that you are asking: where is this concept? Here is my answer. At the coordination council, Prime Minister Svyrydenko stated: it will be in July," he wrote.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on May 1, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the start of army reform, which will specifically include the possibility of discharging those mobilized this year from service.

At the same time, Zelenskyy said that the reform would start in June and that the first results should be seen as early as June, particularly regarding financial support for the military. According to him, the minimum level of support for military personnel should be no less than UAH 30,000 for rear-line positions, and several times higher for combat positions.

The President instructed that special contracts be implemented for infantrymen with payments ranging from UAH 250,000 to UAH 400,000, depending on the fulfillment of combat missions.
