Satellite images confirm damage to the Caucasus' largest oil depot after a strike on a facility near Novorossiysk on June 8.

This was reported by Radio Liberty.

According to an analysis of satellite images, at least four to five fuel tanks were damaged as a result of the attack. At the same time, after two consecutive strikes, the total number of affected tanks could be from 10 to 15.

This is the Grushev oil depot, located near Novorossiysk in the Krasnodar Krai of the russian federation. According to the Ukrainian side, on June 8, this facility was struck by operators of the Unmanned Systems Forces in cooperation with other units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

The oil depot is part of the Sheskharis transshipment complex, one of the key elements of the russian oil infrastructure in the south of the country. This facility receives, stores and further ships oil through the port of Novorossiysk.

The complex is considered strategically important for the export of russian oil through the Black Sea.

So far, the russian authorities have not officially commented on the scale of the damage recorded in satellite images.

Recall that on the night of June 8, drones attacked the russian city of Novorossiysk in the Krasnodar Krai. According to monitoring resources and local residents, the city's oil infrastructure was hit, after which a fire broke out.
