On the evening of June 8, russian occupiers shelled Zaporizhzhia with drones, hitting a public transport stop, shopping kiosks and railway infrastructure facilities, two people were killed and 32 injured.

It was reported by the National Police, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov and the State Emergency Service on the Telegram messenger, the Ukrainian News Agency informs.

"The enemy directed a Shahed-type UAV at a public transport stop and shopping kiosks at a time when people were returning home from work. Another drone hit a private residential building," the police said.

The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration added that railway infrastructure facilities and a 9-story building were also damaged due to russian strikes in the city.

Fedorov reported that two women were killed in the attack, and 23 people were injured in the strike on the bus stop.

The State Emergency Service released the moment of the drone strike.

In total, according to the State Emergency Service, 32 people were injured, five of them children.

"In Zaporizhzhia, the number of people injured as a result of the Russian strike has increased to 32 people, including 5 children. Unfortunately, two women were killed," rescuers said.

Currently, 12 people, including four children, are in hospital.

Psychologists from the State Emergency Service provided assistance to 24 citizens, including 3 children.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on May 30, the russian army struck the city of Zaporizhzhia, causing damage to industrial infrastructure and residential buildings.
