Ukraine will receive more liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the Baltics.
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced this on her Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"An agreement on long-term LNG supplies through the Klaipeda terminal was reached during intergovernmental consultations in Vilnius," she said.
The Prime Minister noted that liquefied natural gas can be supplied from both American and Middle Eastern producers.
"Ukrainian Naftogaz has already received such shipments. Our agreements will allow us to strengthen this channel," she added.
Svyrydenko noted that this is an important step for Ukraine's stability.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in February, Naftogaz announced that, in partnership with TotalEnergies, it had secured the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the United States through the Deutsche ReGas LNG terminal, located on the island of Rügen (Germany) in the Baltic Sea.
