Collaborator Volodymyr Saldo, whom the occupiers appointed as the head of the occupied part of the Kherson Region, issued a "decree" restricting vehicle traffic along the so-called "land corridor" to the occupied Crimea.

The collaborator published the relevant document on his Telegram channel on Friday, May 22.

Saldo reported that he had signed a “decree” temporarily restricting the movement of trucks on the section of the R-280 “Novorossiya” highway heading toward the “Dzhankoy” road checkpoint.

This refers to the highway that begins in Rostov-on-Don and runs through the occupied territories of the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson Regions toward Crimea. The occupiers use it to supply their military units and deliver cargo to the peninsula.

The “decree” states that the restrictions do not apply to military cargo, special cargo, medicines, fuel, perishable goods, equipment, and essential goods.

The restrictions apply to the section of the highway between the 463rd and 494th kilometers. The so-called "decree" takes effect on May 21 and remains in force until further notice.

As a reminder, since early May, pro-russian media outlets have been actively reporting that the Ukrainian Defense Forces have begun attacking vehicles moving in the south of the occupied territories. Ukrainian UAVs are targeting military equipment, fuel tankers, and other vehicles involved in supplying the occupiers.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) noted the day before that in recent months, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have achieved their most significant successes on the front lines in nearly two years, in particular thanks to systematic strikes against logistics in the occupiers’ rear.
