On the night of Thursday, May 14, russian troops launched 56 missiles and 675 drones at the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to neutralize 693 targets - 41 missiles and 652 UAVs.
This was announced by the press service of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is noted that on the night of May 14 (from 06:00 pm on May 13), immediately after a massive drone strike during the day (almost 800 UAVs), the enemy continued the attack, delivering a combined strike on Ukraine using strike UAVs, air- and ground-based missiles.
The main direction of the strike was Kyiv.
In total, the Air Force radio-technical troops recorded and accompanied 731 air attack vehicles - 56 missiles and 675 UAVs:
- 3 Kh-47 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles (launch area - Lipetsk Oblast, russian federation);
- 18 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles (launch areas - Bryansk, Kursk);
- 35 Kh-101 cruise missiles (launch area - Vologda Oblast, russian federation);
- 675 strike UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas type, "Banderol" loitering munitions (2 units), "Parody" type simulator drones (from the directions: Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - RF, Gvardiyske, Chauda, TOT AR Crimea).
"According to preliminary data, as of 08:00 am, air defense systems shot down/suppressed 693 targets - 41 missiles and 652 drones of various types," the report says.
These include, in particular,
- 29 Kh-101 cruise missiles;
- 12 Iskander-M/S-400 ballistic missiles;
- 652 UAVs of various types.
15 missiles and 23 strike UAVs were recorded hitting 24 locations, as well as the fall of downed (fragments of) UAVs at 18 locations.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of May 14, russian troops also carried out a combined attack on Kyiv using drones and ballistic missiles. As a result of the shelling in the Darnytskyi district of the capital, a residential building was destroyed, residents were trapped under the rubble.
As a result of the massive night attack on the left bank of Kyiv, problems with water supply arose. In addition, due to the elimination of the consequences of the shelling in the Darnytskyi district, public transport routes were temporarily changed.
