On the night of May 14, russian troops carried out a combined attack on Kyiv using drones and ballistic missiles. As a result of the shelling in the Darnytskyi district of the capital, a residential building was destroyed, and residents were trapped under the rubble. This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, and the mayor of the city, Vitali Klitschko.
According to the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, the situation in the Darnytskyi district is currently the most difficult. Due to a direct hit on a multi-storey building, the internal structures of the building collapsed.
"A residential building was damaged in the Darnytskyi district. There was a collapse of structures. People are trapped under the rubble. The necessary services are on their way to the scene," Tkachenko reported.
The mayor of the capital, Vitalii Klitschko, clarified that a fire was recorded in the same district at a gas station, as well as the burning of shopping pavilions (MAFs). In addition to the Darnytskyi district, the Dniprovskyi district of the city also suffered an enemy strike, where a direct hit was recorded in a private house.
Units of the State Emergency Service, doctors and police are working at the scene. Rescuers are sorting through the rubble and trying to reach people who are trapped. Data on the number of victims and the extent of the destruction are being updated promptly.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the russian federation massively attacked Kyiv at night: high-rise buildings were damaged, there are injured and trapped under the rubble.
Also, Advisor to the Minister of Defense Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov stated that the air attack by the occupiers could continue until the middle of tomorrow.
