In April 2026, Ukrainians purchased 5% fewer pre-used passenger cars imported from abroad compared to the previous year, specifically 19,600.
This is stated in a report by the UkrAutoprom association, according to the Ukrainian News agency.
The report states that gasoline-powered cars accounted for the largest share in this segment of the auto market—57% (in April 2025, they accounted for 47%).
Diesel cars account for 20% (22% in April 2025) of this segment of the car market; electric vehicles—12% (23% in April 2025); hybrids—8% (5% in April 2025); and cars with LPG systems—3% (3% in April 2025).
The average age of used cars that were registered with Ukrainian license plates in April is 9.6 years.
The Volkswagen Golf remains the leader among imported used cars.
The top 10 most popular models of the month included: Volkswagen Golf – 904 units; Volkswagen Tiguan – 815 units; Audi Q5 – 688 units; Nissan Rogue – 663 units; Skoda Octavia – 626 units; Renault Megane – 613 units; Volkswagen Passat – 423 units; Ford Escape – 423 units; Mazda CX5 – 398 units; Audi A4 – 393 units; and Nissan Qashqai – 385 units.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in March 2026, Ukrainians purchased 7% fewer pre-used passenger cars imported from abroad compared to the previous year, specifically 18,300 units.
