In March 2026, Ukrainians purchased 7% fewer pre-used cars imported from abroad, namely 18,300, compared to last year.
This is said in a statement by the UkrAutoprom association, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The report says that the largest share in this segment of the car market belonged to gasoline cars - 58% (in March 2025, they covered 45%).
Diesel cars occupy 21% (23% in March 2025) of this segment of the car market; electric cars - 9% (23% in March 2025); hybrids - 8% (5% in March 2025) and cars with LPG - 4% (4% in March 2025).
The average age of pre-used cars that switched to Ukrainian license plates in March is 10 years.
The leader among imported pre-used cars remains Volkswagen Golf.
The top 10 most popular models of the month include: Volkswagen Golf - 849 units; Volkswagen Tiguan - 787 units; Audi Q5 - 627 units; Nissan Rogue - 624 units; Skoda Octavia - 594 units; Renault Megane - 589 units; Ford Escape - 415 units; Volkswagen Passat - 385 units; Mazda CX5 - 361 units and Nissan Qashqai - 352 units.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in February 2026, Ukrainians bought 13% less pre-used cars compared to last year, which were imported from abroad, namely 14,800.
