Late in the evening of May 9, despite the current three-day truce, russian occupation forces attacked Kharkiv using drones. The enemy hit a residential high-rise building in the Industrialnyi district of the city, which led to destruction and injuries among the civilian population. This was reported by the official Telegram channels of the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, and the city mayor, Ihor Terekhov.
The first reports of the strike appeared at around 10:22 pm. According to updated data, the enemy drone hit the technical floor of a nine-story building, seriously damaging the elevator shaft and breaking out about 30 windows. This terrorist act was another confirmation that russia ignores any agreements, as the attack occurred during a short-term ceasefire, when the enemy also used ballistic missiles and more than 40 drones in other regions of Ukraine.
As of 11:20 pm, the number of people injured as a result of the hit had increased to four. Among them were two eight-year-old boys who were diagnosed with acute stress.
Emergency services, doctors and law enforcement officers continue to work at the scene, recording the consequences of another war crime by the occupiers against the peaceful residents of Kharkiv.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, US President Donald Trump had a phone conversation with russian dictator vladimir putin on April 29 and said that an agreement to end the war in Ukraine was close. He also said that he had offered the Kremlin leader a "short ceasefire."
