US President Donald Trump spoke by phone with russian dictator vladimir putin and stated that an agreement to end the war in Ukraine is imminent. Putin’s aide Yuri Ushakov reported this, according to Clach Report and Meduza on Wednesday, April 29.
Ushakov said that the conversation between Trump and putin lasted an hour and a half.
"According to Ushakov, Trump told Putin that an agreement to reach a peace deal is close. The White House has not yet confirmed the phone call between the two presidents," the report states.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on April 26, US President Donald Trump stated that he is having “good conversations” with russian president vladimir putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
On April 17, the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs signaled to its Turkish partners that it was ready for a meeting between President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and russian dictator vladimir putin, with the participation of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and US President Donald Trump.
