In Moscow, access to mobile Internet and SMS messages will be restricted on May 9 for reasons of "security of festive events".

This is reported by the russian publication Meduza with reference to the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the aggressor state of russia.

The occupation country's Ministry of Digital Technologies announced that on May 9, Muscovites will have "temporarily restricted" access to the mobile Internet, including the so-called "white list" of sites, and to SMS messages.

The goal is allegedly "to ensure the security of festive events on Victory Day on May 9".

At the same time, they stated that there are allegedly no plans to shut down and restrict mobile Internet in Moscow on the eve of May 7-8.

Earlier, BBC News reported that the Moscow authorities in the aggressor country of russia are preparing to unprecedentedly tighten communication restrictions on the eve of May 9. In particular, the publication's interlocutors said that the disconnection of communication in Moscow is planned for May 5, 7 and 9.

Russian media also wrote about the restriction of Internet and SMS from May 5 to 9, and subscribers of major mobile operators began to receive the corresponding mailings.

Earlier, it became known that in Moscow the demand for walkie-talkies, pagers and paper cards has increased sharply due to the restrictions and disconnection of mobile communications and the Internet. In addition, back in February, the State Duma of the aggressor country of russia adopted a bill that allows the FSB to oblige operators to block the Internet.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the authorities of at least 15 regions of the aggressor country of russia announced the cancellation of parades dedicated to Victory Day, which is celebrated in the russian federation on May 9. Ukraine, on the other hand, stated that it sees no reason to observe the truce on May 8 and 9, which the aggressor country of russia declared unilaterally to hold propaganda events on Red Square in Moscow.
