The Cabinet of Ministers has lifted restrictions on traveling abroad for a separate category of female officials.
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced this on her Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"The government has lifted restrictions on traveling abroad for a separate category of female officials during martial law. From now on, employees of state authorities, local governments, state enterprises and other designated structures will be able to cross the border without additional restrictions," she said.
According to Svyrydenko, the changes do not apply to the highest state officials, key heads of state authorities and their deputies, in particular to members of the Cabinet of Ministers, leadership of ministries and central executive bodies, the Office of the President, the Verkhovna Rada staff, the National Security and Defense Council, the Security Service of Ukraine, the National Bank, as well as to MPs, judges of the Supreme Court and the Constitutional Court, prosecutors of the Prosecutor General's Office, heads of state-owned enterprises and state bodies whose jurisdiction extends to the entire territory of Ukraine.
For them, the rules remain unchanged in order to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the state.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in August 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers allowed women deputies of local councils to cross the state border during martial law, if they do not work in local government bodies.
If a female member of a local council works in local government bodies and, accordingly, receives a salary from the local budget, then traveling abroad was possible only within the framework of a business trip. In February 2023, the government expanded the categories of women and men among civil servants who can travel abroad to visit their children.
