The Kremlin continues systematic hybrid attacks against Poland, one of Ukraine's leading allies and an important component of NATO's eastern flank. This was reported by the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD), citing a specialized analytical report.
As noted in the document, after the start of a full-scale aggression against Ukraine in 2022, the intensity of hybrid actions by the aggressor country, the russian federation, against Poland has significantly increased. These include cyberattacks on critical infrastructure and sabotage operations. Large-scale disinformation operations were used, including Doppelgänger (creating fake copies of media and government websites) and Matryoshka (spreading fakes through a large number of accounts). The use of migration pressure through the territory of Belarus was also noted.
The Center emphasizes that the goal of the russian federation's hybrid operations is to destabilize the internal situation in Poland, undermine public trust, and weaken its role as a key logistical hub for assistance to Ukraine.
"Russia continues to act within the framework of a hybrid strategy, testing the limits of the West's reaction and avoiding direct military escalation with NATO. Counteracting such threats requires strengthening the coordination of allies, cyber defense, and resilience to information operations," the CCD summarizes.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, according to the CCD, russia is preparing a legal justification for new military incursions.
