On the morning of Wednesday, May 6, russian occupation forces launched another attack on Zaporizhzhia, targeting an industrial facility. Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, has reported this.

Although the exact time of the strike has not been disclosed, air raid alerts were issued twice in the region since the start of the day due to the threat of attack drones and guided aerial bombs, and explosions were heard in the city itself.

"The enemy attacked an industrial infrastructure facility. There were no casualties," the statement said.

The situation in the city remains tense, but all relevant services are continuing to work to address the aftermath of the incident.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on May 5, President Zelenskyy called the russian army’s nighttime strikes on Ukraine “utter cynicism,” noting that russia had requested a ceasefire the day before to hold a propaganda celebration.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that russia, the aggressor country, had not discussed with Ukraine the implementation of a short-term ceasefire on May 9. No one had contacted Kyiv regarding this issue or sent any official proposals.

As a reminder, on May 4, the aggressor country unilaterally announced a ceasefire to be in effect on May 8 and 9.
