President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reacted to the attack by the military of the aggressor country of russia on Ukraine on the night of Tuesday, May 5. He stated that russia's request for silence for propaganda celebrations and such missile and drone strikes all the days before are "absolute cynicism". He wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
"It is absolute cynicism to ask for silence to hold propaganda celebrations and carry out such missile and drone strikes every day before that. Russia can cease fire every day, and this will stop the war and our responses. Peace is needed, and real steps are needed for this. Ukraine will act in a mirror manner," Zelenskyy said.

He said that at night the russians attacked energy infrastructure in the Poltava Region.
"And they very meanly struck again with a missile, when the State Emergency Service employees were already at the scene - they were extinguishing the fire. As of now, dozens of people are known to have been injured. Unfortunately, four people were killed, including two rescuers. This is Hero of Ukraine Viktor Kuzmenko, who has eliminated the consequences of shelling more than 50 times, and Dmytro Skryl, who has served in the State Emergency Service for over 20 years. My sincere condolences to his family and friends," the President added.
