Egypt continues to accept stolen Ukrainian grain, despite Ukraine's appeal to arrest the vessel and its cargo.

This was announced by Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on the X social network, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Despite repeated warnings, the ASOMATOS vessel was allowed to unload 26,900 tons of stolen Ukrainian wheat in Abu Kir. This is the fourth case of grain laundering by russia in Egyptian ports since April," he said.

According to Sybiha, ASOMATOS was allowed to dock and unload, despite the fact that four days ago the Prosecutor General of Ukraine officially appealed to the Ministry of Justice of Egypt with a request for legal assistance regarding this illegal cargo exported by the sanctioned Agro-Fregat through the occupied Crimea, and provided all the necessary data and legal grounds for the arrest of the vessel and its cargo.

The Foreign Minister emphasized that Ukraine is a country that has played the role of a reliable guarantor of Egypt's food security for many years, and does not understand why Egyptian partners retaliate by continuing to accept stolen Ukrainian grain.

In addition, Sybiha reminded Egypt and all other countries that Ukraine experienced genocide due to the famine of the last century, when Moscow ordered to take grain from Ukrainians.

He called on Egyptian partners to adhere to international law, their promises to Ukraine, and the principles of bilateral relations.

"Stolen goods from the occupied territories should be confiscated, not accepted. Looting is not trade, but complicity, which only fuels further aggression," the minister stressed.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko previously reported that after Ukraine took a set of procedural measures, the russian ship Panormitis with stolen Ukrainian grain left Israeli territorial waters.

Sybiha confirmed that the ship Panormitis, which is illegally transporting grain from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, will not be unloaded in Israel.
