In 2026, the Cabinet of Ministers expects to attract UAH 10 billion in revenues from large privatization and UAH 3 billion from small privatization from investors.
This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"This year, the government expects to attract about UAH 10 billion in revenues from private investors as a result of large privatization and UAH 3 billion from small privatization. This is an ambitious task in wartime, but it was discussed and agreed upon at a meeting with the Ministry of Economy and the State Property Fund," she said.
The meeting was held at Ocean Plaza - this is a nationalized asset that the state is preparing for sale, the government plans to put it up for public auction in the third quarter with an estimated market value of about USD 100 million.
In addition to Ocean Plaza, a number of other large facilities are being prepared for privatization this year: Demurynskyi GOK, Sumykhimprom, Odesa Port Plant, Hlukhiv Quartzite Quarry, Mykolaiv Alumina Plant, some of which are planned to be put up for sale in the summer.
According to Svyrydenko, since the beginning of the year, the budget has already received over UAH 1 billion from small-scale privatization.
She emphasized that the funds from privatization, in particular nationalized and sanctioned assets, are directed to the recovery fund - this is a resource for rebuilding the country and supporting people.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Cabinet of Ministers proposes that the Verkhovna Rada allow the privatization of housing damaged or destroyed due to the war, which will allow residents of such housing to receive compensation for damaged or destroyed property.
In January 2024, the Cabinet of Ministers included the metropolitan shopping and entertainment center Ocean Plaza, previously confiscated from russian businessmen Arkady and Igor Rotenberg, in the list of objects of large privatization.
