Electricity prices for the population may be revised upwards from November 1, 2026, and for now they will remain unchanged until October 31 – UAH 4.32 kWh.
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced this on her Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"The government has extended the current tariff for household consumers until October 31, 2026 - UAH 4.32 per kWh. This means that electricity prices for the population remain unchanged," she said.
However, Svyrydenko did not deny that electricity prices may be revised upwards in the fall.
Svyrydenko also reported that the government supports households for which electricity is the main source of heat - houses and apartments with electric heating, as well as apartment buildings not connected to gas supply and centralized or autonomous heating systems. A preferential tariff will apply to them - UAH 2.64 per kWh for consumption up to 2,000 kWh per month, for consumption above this amount the price will be UAH 4.32 per kWh.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in mid-February, Svyrydenko stated that increasing electricity tariffs for the population in the conditions of its shutdown is impossible.
In early February, the National Bank assumed that electricity prices for the population may be raised after the heating season.
Until April 30, 2026, the electricity tariff for the population was UAH 4.32 kWh, and the night tariff and the tariff for electric heating are half as low.
