Ukrainian defenders have full control of the situation along the border with occupied Transnistria and are prepared for any developments in the region. The "West" Operational Command has reported this.

Currently, active preparations and the strengthening of defensive capabilities are underway in the border areas. In particular, the military reports on the ongoing improvement of fortifications, the expansion of medical facilities’ capabilities for rapid response to emergencies, and the maintenance of transportation infrastructure in proper working order.

"The civilian population is also ready to resist," the command emphasized, highlighting the unity between the army and local residents.

Service members directly serving on this section of the front assure that any attempt by russian forces to cross the border from the unrecognized republic will end in disaster for them. According to the defenders, the occupiers will not be welcome here, and their situation in the event of provocations will become critical.

The command notes that measures to fortify the border are preventive and aim to prevent the creation of additional zones of tension while the main forces are concentrated on other hotspots.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the President's Office stated that russia is considering creating a "buffer zone" in the Vinnytsia Region on the side of Transnistria, but currently lacks sufficient forces to implement these plans.
