On the morning of April 26, Chernihiv came under attack by enemy drones, which led to fires and destruction in the residential sector of the city. This was reported by the head of the Chernihiv city military administration, Dmytro Bryzhynskyi.
The head of the administration confirmed that the State Emergency Service units and medics are working in an intensified mode to eliminate the consequences of the enemy raid. As a result of the UAV crash, fires were recorded in private houses, and one of the drones exploded near a high-rise building, causing significant damage to the windows and facade.
"As a result of the crash of enemy UAVs, fires broke out in private houses. A separate drone exploded near a high-rise building. The windows in the building were damaged and broken," the official noted.
The data on the victims is currently being clarified. Currently, residential areas remain under the supervision of law enforcement officers, and residents are urged to stay in shelters until the airstrike ends.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of April 20, an advisor to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov, was injured as a result of a russian attack. A guided jet Shahed hit his house, the building was destroyed, and the advisor and drone expert himself was injured.
At night, russian occupiers attacked railway infrastructure facilities in the Kharkiv Region, damage was recorded. Restoration work is underway.
Russian troops also attacked the Kyiv Region again with strike drones. In the Brovary district, damage was recorded to two private houses, and one person was injured.
