Last night, drones operated by the SSU’s “Alpha” Special Operations Center targeted the Gorky oil pumping station in the village of Meshikha, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, russia.

Sources within the SSU reported this to the Ukrainian News agency.

According to the sources, the Gorky oil pumping station is a key link in russia’s oil transportation system and is part of the Transneft – Upper Volga JSC. The station transports oil via main pipelines, specifically along the Surgut–Gorky–Polotsk route. It ensures the transfer of raw materials to domestic routes, including to the Lukoil refinery in the city of Kstovo.

According to preliminary data, three oil storage tanks were damaged as a result of the strike. A massive fire covering an area of 20,000 square meters broke out.

"Damage to such system-critical facilities causes serious disruptions in oil supply logistics within Russia. The operation of main pipelines is disrupted, refinery processing efficiency decreases, and transportation costs rise. Ultimately, this directly affects Russian budget revenues, which are used to finance the war against Ukraine," an informed source in the SSU reported.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Security Service of Ukraine has intensified its strikes on russian territory. Meanwhile, the Service’s drones are setting records for range. Ukraine continues to strike russian refineries despite warnings from the West.
