The Ministry of Defense has certified and approved the Bizon-L ground-based robotic system (GRS) for use by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is stated in a press release from the ministry.
According to the report, this is a Ukrainian-developed system equipped with six types of communication, including LTE, Wi-Fi, Starlink, and others, ensuring stable control of the system within the range of enemy electronic warfare.
"The Bizon-L GRS is designed with the conditions of modern high-intensity combat in mind. Its control system allows for the integration of complex management with combat and functional modules into a single interface," the Ministry of Defense stated.

The system deploys to a combat position in just a few minutes. The platform has a top speed of 12 km/h, a payload capacity of up to 300 kg, and a range of up to 50 km.
The chassis is specially designed to traverse swampy terrain, snow, ice, and difficult terrain.
Thanks to its design features, the Bizon-L ground robotic system has a negligible thermal signature, which reduces its detectability in the infrared spectrum.

What tasks does the Bizon-L ground robotic system perform?
The system’s universal tracked platform is designed to perform various tasks on the front lines without the involvement of personnel. In particular, the system can be used for:
- transporting cargo and ammunition;
- evacuating the wounded.
Equipped with additional equipment, the Bizon-L can:
- install engineering barriers;
- mine territories;
- serve as a mobile platform for antennas, repeaters, and electronic warfare equipment.
It can also be fitted with a combat module featuring a 12.7 mm machine gun turret.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Defense stated that contracts are planned to be signed with manufacturers of ground-based robotic systems in the first half of 2026 for the delivery of 25,000 units, which is twice as many as in all of 2025.
