DTEK Energy Holding will build a 650 MW wind power plant worth EUR 1.2 billion to strengthen Ukraine's energy system.
The company’s press-service has said this in a statement, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The report says that it will be one of the largest onshore wind farms in Europe.
The station will be built in the Poltava Region and will consist of about 100 wind turbines. The total investment in the project is EUR 1.2 billion.
Thus, the new wind farm will help strengthen the country's energy resilience and compensate for the capacities damaged by enemy attacks.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Rinat Akhmetov bought a huge five-level luxury apartment in Monaco for USD 554 million in the principality's most prestigious new residential project, making the deal one of the largest single residential sales in history.
DTEK manages the energy assets of System Capital Management.
100% of SCM shares are owned by businessman Rinat Akhmetov.
