Dmytro Vasylchenkov, a suspect in the April 18 shooting of people in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv, several years ago through the court squeezed out UAH 2,000 of additional pension payments as a former military man.
This is evidenced by the data of the court registry, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Vasylchenkov received such a supplement for some time, however, after the pension was recalculated, this supplement was suspended.
He appealed to the Kyiv District Administrative Court with a lawsuit against the Pension Fund.
In particular, Vasylchenkov requested that the actions of the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Kyiv be declared unlawful in refusing to pay him a full pension supplement from July 1, 2023 in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated July 14, 2021 No. 713 "On Additional Social Protection of Certain Categories of Persons", and also to oblige the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Kyiv to transfer and pay him a monthly pension supplement of UAH 2,000 from July 1, 2023, in accordance with the aforementioned Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, in full, taking into account previously paid amounts.

In early 2024, the court found the actions of the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Kyiv unlawful in refusing to pay Vasylchenkov a full pension supplement from July 1, 2023 in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated July 14, 2021 No. 713 "On Additional Social Protection of Certain Categories of Persons" and ordered the Main Directorate of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Kyiv to transfer and pay him a monthly pension supplement of UAH 2,000 from July 1, 2023.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Head of the National Police of Ukraine Ivan Vyhivskyi reported new details about the man who committed the shooting in Kyiv on April 18. It is known that he is a native of Moscow and served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The shooting in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv, which killed six people, was classified by law enforcement officers as a terrorist act.
In addition, criminal proceedings have been initiated against the police officers who fled at the time of the terrorist attack in Kyiv on April 18. And the head of the Department of the Patrol Police of Ukraine, Yevhen Zhukov, submitted a report for dismissal after the shooting in Kyiv on April 18.
