For the third week in a row, carrot prices have been rising on the Ukrainian market, which is associated with a rapid reduction in the supply of medium and high-quality root vegetables.
This is stated in a report by the EastFruit project, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The report states that against the background of the current situation, producers of this product continue to actively increase selling prices for available volumes.
As of the end of the last working week, carrots were sold for UAH 7-14 per kilogram, which is on average 13% more expensive than at the end of the previous working week.

At the same time, it is becoming increasingly difficult to purchase large batches of quality root vegetables on the Ukrainian market.
It is noted that current prices for carrots in Ukraine remain 65% lower than in the corresponding period last year.
Most market participants agree that the trend of rising prices in this segment will continue.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, prices for greenhouse cucumbers in Ukraine have fallen sharply.
