The military counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) detained another FSB agent in Odesa. It turned out to be a local taxi driver recruited by the enemy, who was adjusting the missile and drone attacks of the aggressor country of russia on the city. This is said in the SSU report.
According to the special service, the attacker was tracking the locations of the Defense Forces and local power substations, where the russians were preparing a new series of air strikes. He acted under the guise of fulfilling orders for the transportation of passengers in the regional center and its suburbs.
The SSU documented how, on his way to clients or returning after fulfilling orders, the agent took photos of the perimeters of potential "targets" and marked their geolocations on Google maps.
The attacker used a smartphone and a tablet to take photos and work with mapping programs. Then the enemy agent summarized the intelligence reports for the FSB on them.
"SSU officers exposed the agent and detained him at his place of residence. During the searches, gadgets and SIM cards were seized from him, on which he stored intelligence and through which he used an anonymous chat in the messenger to contact his curator from the Russian special service," law enforcement officers said.
According to the investigation, the attacker came to the attention of the FSB at the end of 2025, when he was looking for offers of "easy money" on the Internet. In exchange for the promise of a "quick side job," the agent began preparing coordinates for new shelling of Odesa.
SSU investigators informed him of suspicion of treason committed under martial law (Part 2, Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The offender is in custody. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the Security Service of Ukraine detained a killer who tried to shoot a high-ranking official of the Ukrainian Navy on the order of the russian federation.
