The high-voltage line supplying the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant has been disconnected, and the plant has switched to diesel generators. It was reported by Ukrenergo.
"This is the 13th complete blackout of the station since the beginning of the full-scale war. The reasons for the outage are currently being investigated," the statement said.
Attacks on the energy sector
As a result of hostile attacks in the morning, consumers in the Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Mykolaiv and Kharkiv Regions are without power. Emergency repair works are already underway wherever security conditions allow.
Consumption
Electricity consumption has increased. This morning it was 5.3% higher than at the same time on Monday. The reason for the changes is the resumption of active production activities after the Easter weekend.
"Given the weather conditions, it is advisable to shift active energy consumption today to the period of the most efficient operation of solar power plants - from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. At the same time, there is still a need for economical consumption in the evening. Please limit the use of powerful electrical appliances from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m," the power engineers added.
