Ukraine's massive strikes on the oil refining and oil export facilities of the aggressor country russia affect the negotiation process. At the next meetings, "a lot of new things" should be expected from the russian side.

The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Kyrylo Budanov, made the statement on Thursday, April 9, as quoted by Ukrinform.

Journalists asked Budanov how Ukrainian strikes on russian oil facilities affect the negotiation process. According to him, they affect the peace talks, and he called this impact "obvious."

He added that the change in russia's position under the influence of the Ukrainian strikes is a debatable issue.

"In the next talks with them, I think we will hear a lot of new things. In any case, this significantly strengthens our position and does not make it, as they say, weak," Budanov emphasized.

The head of the President's Office emphasized that any means that allow achieving the goal are justified and correct.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on April 6, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine, through the United States, had submitted a proposal to russia to stop strikes on energy facilities.

As a reminder, in late March it became known that a number of partners appealed to Ukraine with a request to reduce the intensity of strikes on the oil sector of the russian federation amid the energy crisis that began after the war in Iran.
