Russians complained that dozens of drones attacked the Voronezh and Leningrad Oblasts on the night of April 7. The chemical plant and the port of Ust-Luga, which only recently resumed work after previous attacks, were under attack.
This was reported by local governors.
The governor of the Voronezh Oblast, Aleksandr Gusev, claims that the air defense system detected and destroyed 16 drones overnight. One of the drones fell on the roof of a warehouse, which then caught fire. The fire was extinguished, but the technological structure was damaged, and production was temporarily suspended.
The Astra Telegram channel, citing eyewitnesses, points to the Minudobreniya chemical plant in Rozsosh. This is one of the largest enterprises in the region, producing, among other things, ammonium nitrate, which is used in industrial and explosive mixtures. The plant has previously been attacked by drones.
In the Leningrad Oblast, Governor Aleksandr Drozdenko reported that 20 UAVs had been shot down overnight, without giving details of the consequences. According to Telegram channels, these strikes were directed at the port of Ust-Luga.
As we will recall, Bloomberg reported that the port recently resumed crude oil shipments after several days of downtime due to attacks by Ukrainian drones.
