In March, cars with traditional engines covered almost 64% of new passenger car market - Ukravtoprom

In March 2026, cars with traditional engines covered 64% of the new passenger car market, last year this figure was 58%.

This is stated in the message of the Ukravtoprom association, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

The message says that gasoline models were the most popular, they accounted for 42% of new car sales, compared to about 37% in March 2025.

The share of hybrid cars increased from 28% to almost 32%.

Diesel cars covered 22%, compared to 21% in March 2025.

The share of electric cars fell significantly - from 14% to 4%.

Cars with LPG, like last year, accounted for less than 1% of new car sales.

Leading positions by segment were occupied by: gasoline cars - Hyundai Tucson; hybrid - Toyota RAV-4; diesel - Renault Duster; electric - BYD Leopard 3 and cars with HBO - Hyundai Tucson.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in February 2026, cars with traditional engines covered almost 66% of the new passenger car market, last year this figure was 59.2%.
