Enemy attacked market in Nikopol: 5 killed, 19 injured - local authorities

On Saturday afternoon, April 4, the russian occupation army attacked Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk Region. The enemy strike fell on the local market.

As a result of the shelling, 5 people were killed, 19 more people were injured.

This was reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Hanzha. According to the official, after the russian attack, a fire broke out. Trade pavilions and a store were damaged.

"Five people were killed - 3 women and 2 men. Nineteen people were injured, including a 14-year-old girl," the report says.

The child is currently in hospital, her condition is serious.

Nikopol Mayor Oleksandr Sayuk expressed condolences to the relatives and friends of the deceased. He stressed that the data on the shelling and its consequences are being clarified. The mayor of the city added that as of 11:57 am, the hostile drone attack is ongoing.

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, an investigation has been launched as a result of the russian UAV strike on Nikopol.

"On April 4, at around 9:50 am, the russian military launched a strike using UAVs on a market in the city of Nikopol. According to preliminary information, five people were killed and 19 more were injured. Commercial premises were damaged," the report says.

Law enforcement officers and investigators are working at the scene of the attack.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of Saturday, April 4, russian invaders launched strikes on Sumy, directing strike UAVs at the city. A residential high-rise building was hit, apartments caught fire. At least 13 victims are known.
