The aggressor country russia has set conditions for the American side that the war will end if Ukraine withdraws its troops from the Donbas in two months or if new peace conditions are established. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during a conversation with journalists, Channel 24 reports on Tuesday, March 31.
Zelenskyy noted that the russian side has announced to the American side the deadline for the return of Ukraine to the United States. According to him, in the next ultimatum, the aggressor demands that the Armed Forces withdraw from the Donbas in two months.
"Now there are new deadlines. They said that in 2 months, this is the latest information, that they will capture the east of our country in two months, and I quote them, they will capture the Donbas. That's why Ukraine has two months to get out, and then the war will end," the head of state said.
Zelenskyy noted that he does not understand how one can believe the next conditions of the occupiers, if even now there are contradictions in the statement: "If they say they can capture the Donbas, why do they say they will go further? That is, the issue is not only about the Donbas," the President emphasized.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 31, the kremlin is skeptical of the idea of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy regarding the Easter truce in military operations, saying they had not seen any detailed proposals and preferred a general peace agreement instead.
We would like to remind you that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, speaking to journalists on March 30, said that Ukraine supports any ceasefire formats, including for the Easter holidays.
On March 26, Zelenskyy said that the Ukrainian side is ready to negotiate a peaceful settlement of the russian-Ukrainian war at the level of the leaders of the countries.
