President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a conversation with Finnish President Alexander Stubb. The topics of discussion included the incident with the downing of Ukrainian drones in Finland on March 29, as well as negotiations in the Middle East.
The President of Ukraine announced this on social media.
"Of course, we remembered the incident with drones that recently took place in Finland. We see this situation in the same way with Alex. We provide all the necessary information," Zelenskyy said.
The President of Ukraine also emphasized the need for substantive coordination in Europe, and during the conversation he informed Stubb about the meetings and negotiations in the Middle East and the Gulf region the other day. He added that there are strategic agreements, and Ukraine's contribution to security and stabilization "can be significant."
"Alex spoke about his activities. Security is first and foremost, and now that the world is so destabilized, not a single day should be lost: we need joint actions and joint results. We are preparing formats of communication with other European leaders," the President added.
As a reminder, two drones crossed the border of Finland and crashed on the territory of the country. According to the Finnish Air Force, several small, slow-moving devices were flying at low altitude in Finnish airspace, particularly in the southeast. The air force scrambled F/A-18 Hornet fighter jets and confirmed that at least one of the drones was Ukrainian.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with President of the United Arab Emirates Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi. They agreed to cooperate in the field of security and defense.
The day before, Zelenskyy visited Saudi Arabia, where a document on defense cooperation was signed.
