Two drones crossed the Finnish border, one of which was Ukrainian, and crashed in the country. This was stated by Defense Minister Antti Häkkänen, Yle reported on Sunday, March 29.
According to the Finnish Air Force, several small, slow-moving devices were flying at low altitude in the country's airspace, particularly in the southeast, in the morning. The Air Force picked up F/A-18 Hornet fighters and confirmed that at least one of the drones was Ukrainian.
"The drones strayed into Finnish territory. We take this very seriously. Security authorities responded immediately. The investigation will continue and more detailed information will be provided after the facts are confirmed," the Defense Minister said.
