Leningrad Oblast massively attacked by drones, Ust-Luga port on fire again

On the night of March 29, 2026, drones once again attacked the territory of the Leningrad Oblast of russia, as a result of which a large-scale fire broke out in the strategically important port of Ust-Luga. This was reported by the governor of the Leningrad Oblast, Aleksandr Drozdenko, in Telegram.

An air alert was declared in the region at about 2 am Kyiv time, and local authorities, represented by governor Aleksandr Drozdenko, warned residents of a possible "reduction in mobile Internet speed" during the operation of protective equipment. The oil terminals of Ust-Luga and Primorsk were actually hit again, as confirmed by footage from the scene of the emergency.

According to official russian statements, as of five in the morning, 27 drones had allegedly been destroyed over the region, but the governor confirmed damage to the infrastructure of the Ust-Luga port and a fire there.

By seven in the morning, the number of reported downed drones had increased to 31, while Drozdenko noted that rescue services were continuing to work to extinguish the fire in the port. Despite statements about the work of air defense, the scale of the fire indicates another successful destruction of the aggressor's energy infrastructure.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of March 25, a fire broke out at one of the country's largest oil pumping terminals in the port of Ust-Luga in the Leningrad Oblast of the russian federation after a drone attack.
