The government of the aggressor country russia plans to impose a ban on gasoline exports for all market participants. It was reported by the russian propaganda agency Interfax with reference to its own sources.
The agency's unnamed interlocutors said that on Friday evening, March 27, russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak held a meeting with the heads of oil companies.
According to the sources, during the meeting, it was decided to impose a ban on gasoline exports for all market participants, including producers. The ban is currently in effect for non-producers.
The export ban is scheduled to be introduced on April 1. The specific timing of the ban was not discussed. One of the sources said that it would be at least three months.
Interfax's sources added that a ban on exports of gasoline only was discussed. A similar measure for diesel fuel was not discussed.
The interlocutors did not specify the reasons for the plans to impose a complete ban on gasoline exports.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 25, Reuters wrote, citing its own calculations, that the Ukrainian UAVs hit the ports of Ust-Luga and Primorsk, as well as the detention of several tankers in Europe halted 40% of russia's oil export capacity.
