Some progress has been made in the trilateral talks, but key issues remain unresolved, including territorial ones. The spokesman for the russian dictator Dmitry Peskov has stated this, Reuters reported on Thursday, March 26.

Peskov called a New York Times article that the war with Iran has led to putin's loss of interest in negotiations to end the war in Ukraine "an invention."

"This is an absolutely false invention that does not correspond to reality. During the rounds of trilateral talks that have taken place, some progress was made toward a settlement. Russia had not lost interest in peace talks but added that key issues - including territory - had yet to be settled," the spokesman said.

According to him, russia and the United States are in contact about a new round of negotiations on a peaceful settlement in Ukraine, "as soon as conditions allow."

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on March 18, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed anxiety about peace talks due to the US focus on Iran.

On March 17, Zelenskyy said that the war of the aggressor country russia against Ukraine has prospects for a peaceful settlement.

On March 13, Zelenskyy said that the trilateral meeting was being hampered by disputes between Washington and moscow over the location.
