The aggressor country russia is increasing hybrid pressure on the United States by supporting Iran's hacking operations. This is stated in a report by the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

So, it is reported that cybersecurity experts are recording a surge in the activity of pro-Iranian hackers who are increasingly attacking the United States and its allies. The attackers are trying to create chaos and demonstrate the vulnerability of critical infrastructure. That is why hospitals, transportation, industrial facilities, etc. are targeted - areas where even short-term disruptions can have significant consequences.

The Center emphasizes that the key factor is the support of Iran by russian hacker networks. The Z-Pentest group, which is associated with russian military intelligence, has claimed responsibility for disruptions in American networks, including video surveillance systems. In this way, russia is transferring its experience in conducting destructive cyber operations, which allows Iran to develop its own capabilities faster, the CCD said in a statement.

"Such cooperation between Russia and Iran poses a systemic threat to the United States and its allies: attacks are becoming more complex, harder to track and deter, and cyberspace itself is turning into a full-fledged theater of hybrid warfare," the Center emphasizes.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the WSJ wrote that the aggressor country russia is stepping up support for Iran, against which Israel and the United States launched a war in late February. Moscow is seeking to drag out the conflict, which brings it economic benefits due to rising oil prices.
