The season of repairing national highways is well underway in Ukraine, and since the beginning of the year, the area of repaired damage has already exceeded 1,017,000 square meters. It was reported by the Agency for Restoration.
On March 19 alone, specialists repaired 94,000 square meters of road defects. The work on 17 international routes and key national highways involved 136 crews uniting more than 1,200 specialists. To speed up the process, road builders mostly use the "big map" method, and the most intensive work has been recorded on the strategic routes to Odesa, Chop, Yahodyn and Melitopol.
Today, March 20, the repair services continue to work in all regions of Ukraine, with about 153 brigades on the job. The plan is to restore about 100,000 square meters of road surface on the country's main highways within 24 hours.
Due to the active phase of the work, drivers are urged to be as careful as possible, strictly follow the requirements of temporary road signs, and reduce speed in areas where personnel and equipment are located.
We remind you that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is intensifying the restoration of road infrastructure, focusing the main attention on frontline regions and strategic highways with high traffic intensity.
It is also reported that road repairs will be completed by June 1, as weather conditions allow repair crews to work.
