Over the past few days, Ukraine has received signals from the United States about the possible resumption of negotiations with the aggressor country of russia. This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an address to the participants of the European Council meeting on Thursday, March 19.

Zelenskyy noted that russia should not approach the negotiations from a strengthened position. According to him, a support package worth EUR 90 billion, which is the most important financial security guarantee, remains blocked for Ukraine.

"Over the past few days, we have been receiving signals from the American side that negotiations may soon resume. But with what mood will the russian side come to the negotiations this time? It depends on all of us that the russians do not come to these negotiations with the feeling that their position has been significantly strengthened," the head of state emphasized.

There is also no adoption of the 20th package of sanctions against the russian federation, which should force the aggressor to make peace, Zelenskyy emphasized. In his opinion, the easing of American sanctions has brought significant profits to the russian budget, and due to the active use of air defense missiles in the Middle East and the Gulf region, the russians may think that Ukraine will face a shortage of such missiles.
