The Kremlin is changing its strategy and redirecting money from missile production to mass production of drones. If russia is currently attacking Ukraine with an average of 350-500 drones per day, so already in 2026 the enemy plans to reach 600-800 units, and the ultimate goal is a thousand strikes per day. This was stated by Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

To repel such massive attacks, Ukraine needs at least 2,000-3,000 interceptors. The President emphasized that using expensive missiles against cheap Shaheds is a path to nowhere. One interceptor drone costs only USD 3,000-5,000, while a complete downing of an enemy target costs Ukraine USD 10,000. For comparison: one missile for the Patriot system costs USD 4 million.

"Ukraine spends USD 10,000 to shoot down a drone, and a Middle Eastern country spends USD 4 million. It is this experience that we offer to partners," Zelenskyy noted.

According to the head of state, such an approach to security is the only effective way to resist the mass production of drones in the future.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the state order for the production of long-range drones in the aggressor country of russia has been fulfilled by 106% for the year. The russian military-industrial complex produces more than 400 such UAVs every day.

On November 12, the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council, Andrii Kovalenko, reported that the aggressor country of russia has officially created a new branch of the armed forces - unmanned systems, for which it copied successful solutions from Ukraine.
