Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said that Ukraine has refused to participate in a trilateral meeting that was scheduled to take place in Brussels today. Szijjártó wrote about this on Facebook on Monday, March 16.
The Hungarian Foreign Minister noted that a meeting with the energy ministers of Slovakia and Ukraine was scheduled for today in Brussels. According to him, the Ukrainian side has refused to participate.
"And this is after the delegation of the Hungarian Ministry of Energy spent three and a half days in Kyiv and tried to establish a dialogue with them. All existing requests for a meeting are rejected both in Kyiv and in Brussels, just as they do not allow European Union inspectors to go to the site. So, it is clearer than ever that the Ukrainians are not launching the Druzhba gas pipeline solely for political reasons, despite the fact that it is ready both technically and physically," Szijjártó wrote.
According to him, Hungary has 86 days of oil reserves and keeps gasoline prices under control.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 18, Hungary announced that Budapest was suspending diesel fuel exports to Ukraine due to Kyiv's alleged reluctance to repair the Druzhba oil pipeline.
It is also known that the Hungarian leadership is considering the possibility of completely stopping the export of electricity and gas to Ukraine due to the situation with the Druzhba oil pipeline.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico also announced the suspension of diesel fuel supplies to Ukraine.
