On Friday, March 13, talks between Iran's Crown Prince Mohammad Reza Pahlavi and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy took place at the Ukrainian Embassy in Paris. The President of Ukraine announced this on Telegram.
The meeting was initiated by the Iranian side, and after talking with the delegations, Pahlavi asked Zelenskyy for a private one-on-one conversation. The main topic was the internal processes in Iran and the prospects for removing the regime that supplies weapons to the kremlin.
The President noted that he had received important information from the Prince about the state of affairs inside the country.
"The power vertical has indeed already suffered significant losses, and it is important that the Iranian regime does not win anything and that people in Iran receive more protection of life and opportunities to determine their own destiny," Zelenskyy said.
He added that Ukraine is counting on the emergence of a free Iran, which will stop destabilizing the world and cooperating with russia.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, meanwhile, US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth said that Iran's new leader Mojtaba Khamenei is wounded and probably crippled.
Earlier, The New York Times reported, citing Iranian and Israeli officials, that Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed in the US and Israeli strikes on the country, was injured on the first day of the attacks, February 28.
